Louis Decrevel (pronounced Louie Decra-vel ) lives on a hobby farm in South Australia with his very own wife and eight kids.

He has a Master of Visual Art & Design (Illustration) and a BA (Multimedia) from the University of South Australia.

His Master’s thesis, Word and Picture at Play, is about how text and images interact in picture books.

Clients include Quarto Publishing (London), the Government of South Australia, Tourism South Australia, Nature Play SA, the City of Onkaparinga, Sanglier Wines, Wood Coffee, and Spinworthy Yoyos.

His artwork and methods are featured in Whoosh! 250 Ways to Bring Motion to Your Drawings, published by Barron’s (US) and Search (UK).

He’s also working on a range of original stories, from picture books to historical fiction, and he’s an avid reader of the 19th/20th century classics and modern YA fiction and all-ages comics.
